TravelPlex has heard from many of our clients regarding the conditions at airports across the country and the TSA agents situation. While some TSA agents have called in sick for work, the agency took to Twitter Friday,  stating “security effectiveness will not be compromised and performance standards will not change” at all airports.

A few tips that we can suggest, and that can be found in the attached link, include:

PLAN AHEAD: Go to the airport earlier than usual. One can never be too early for a flight.

KNOW TSA GUIDELINES: Passengers should make sure to check that their liquids, aerosols and gels are packed in compliance with the 3-1-1 liquids rule, meaning they’re packed in travel-size containers of 3.4 ounces or 100 milliliters each.

REMEMBER TO BE PATIENT: Everyone is experiencing delays. TSA employees that are working are doing so without pay. Being extra nice to those agents will go a long way towards making your day – and the agents' – go much better.
